that's a very broad question so it depends what you want to know for 'lore'. You might be able to swap memories and skills, but their would be problems with the hormonal pathways and such, which may be treatable with drugs

i'm more of a physicist, but from the knowledge of biology and the brain that i have, i'm inclined to say no. there's also no real difference between the "female" and "male" brain than there is generic difference from person to person. the difference isn't much more than hormones which can be changed, but rerouting an entire brain to preform as someone else's would be an impossibility. science is always advancing, but there'd be no real reason to put resources into it because of the work it'd take to get there. it's like trying to get a jet engine to run a motorcycle. if you really, really wanted it to, you could probably find a way, but you'd have to replace so much of the motorcycle, that at that point, it wouldn't be worthwhile. you'd also have the issue of the brain now wanting to reject the body as a whole and attempt to kill itself. you give someone a replacement heart, the brain and body now recognise it as a foreign body and attempt to kill it. immunosupressants can usuallyyy fix this problem, but a brain that doesn't recognise an entire body? i don't think that even full blown AIDS would fix that. i know it's not the most science-y explanation, but i hope this can help a little
